Camera-less

Hi guys!

I just wanted to hop on here and share something with you all. It isn't the end of the world. Not really. But to me, it almost is! Yesterday I had to send my camera away to be fixed. I think it's the focusing part of the lens that is broken. The camera itself seems to be fine. After our vaccation I noticed a rattling noise coming from it whenever I started it. And the focus started hopping sideways before focusing. Never done that before. I took the lens of and started the camera and no noise. I am so sad to be without it. And it will affect my blogging as well. I make a big effort out of taking as great pictures as I can and the phone I have now is an absolute nightmare to use the camera on. It has one mode and it's only 8 megapixels. 8 very very bad megapixels too. And don't even get me started on focus and shutter speed. I didn't think I would get so used to having a DSLR camera around. I've always taken a lot of pictures of just about everything that catches my eye. But during the 1,5 years I've had it I've taken like 6k photos. That is INSANE!!

Point being, whilst my beloved camera is being attended to I might not post anything. I don't want you to have to guess what you're looking at. If the pictures turns out to be decent enough I might post. I have a ton of reviews to do. For the first time in forever (that song from Frozen just started playing in my head) I'm actually having a lot of content ideas. I might pre-write them and just take photos for them when I get my camera back. I so hope they just switch out the lens free of charge. I want other lenses anyways but I don't feel like splurging on one now. I asked the sales guy if it was normal for it to be broken after just a year or two. The warranty on the camera was just on one year. On YEAR? Are you stinking kidding me?? That is a pricey investment to start with and I think all other electronic things has at least two years. And then there is the maker of the product warranty that I think is on three years? I might be wrong so don't quote me on that.

Anyone interested in knowing what camera I have and my experience with it please do let me know in the comments down below. I am still learning and finding new functions with it. I want to take photography class but I am just the tiniest bit short on time tihi.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette- A broken Love Story

As many of you might've already seen, I got the much  hyped Chocolate Bar Palette from Too Faced after much debating and concideration. I read up on it as much as I could before hand and read everyone's thoughts on it. I don't think I came across one bad review of it. So I got it and were the happiest girl alive.

Then the bad things came with it. When I first came home with it the packaging felt cheap and badly made. The lid attachment felt like it would come off, the plastic telling me the names of the shades were missing, and there were visible glue between the shades and the palette. If I hadn't bought it straight from Sephora I would've thought it was a copy. A very good copy. It had all the right markings and the colors were right. Everyone says it smells like chocolate, I said from day one that it smells nothing like chocolate but rather of vanilla. A very strong baking vanilla kind of scent. After first use I got an eczema over my eye that I put of as a one time thing. That it had nothing to do with the palette since I've had it before. But never in the warmer months. That healed and I started using it again. The weirdest burning feeling followed and I put it of, again, as something else. This time the eyeshadow primer had gone bad. So I replaced it with a new one and hoped for the best. I so wanted to own this palette. The shades are gorgeous and buttery soft. But truth be told, I am allergic to it. The very sad and harsh truth is that I am allergic to the damn thing! Not one shade, be cause that I could've lived with. But several shades! And I didn't get any mindblowing pigmentation from mine. It just wore off in a couple of hours. I was so so disappointed. It was my first ever Too Faced product and my very first high end palette. I mean, I own several cheap drugstore ones and never ever had an reaction to any of them. I asked everyone on Tatis app if I was alone in this. Several nice girls replied that they've had the same thing happening to them or someone they know. I even googled for allergic reaction on it but found nothing. I hope this will be found by someone who is wondering.

I phoned my Sephora and asked if I could return it. I wouldn't want to risk driving all the way there ( One hour there and one hour home) and not being able to return it. But they did take it back when I explained my symptoms. So it is no longer in my life. I can't say I miss it. I am on the other hand very happy to have owned it and tried it. I learnt the hard way to never buy an expensive palette again. In the future I will build my own with singles from various places. I won't pay a fortune for them, be cause should I be allergic to them I won't have lost a lot of money and can either give them away or throw them away.

I don't blame Too Faced in any way for what happened to me or hate the brand. I am sure they do rigorous testing and that I am just overly sensitive to something that was in it. I couldn't read that there were any kinds of nuts in it. If there is, that is probably why I had a reaction. I can't even walk past a macadamia nut without wanting to sneeze. I will say this, I am a bit put off that a brand like Too Faced decided to put that much talc in their shadows. I think it was first or second ingredient in all the shadows.

I don't know if mine was just a major dud, a misshap in production but I will never recommend it to anyone who has had an allergic reaction to makeup before. If you own one and love it and have no issues from it, I am so very happy for you. The shades are utterly gorgeous and it is a very versatile palette. Some shades you look at an think " I will never use those" but you actually do. They are all very wearable depending on how you pair them.

This is just my story.

Product Empties June 2015

Hello guys!

I am sooooo beyond excited to see there's so many of you finding your way over here. And new countries as well! How on earth do you find this space in the universe?

Today I thought I'd share some product empties with you! I finally used up some things which mean I get more space in my vanity for new exciting things! And this time I actually kept the empty bottles to take pictures of. Plus points for me!

A groupshot without my dog in the background. He has the annoying habit of walking by in the background whenever I bring the camera out.

You might remember this from one of my monthly faves from last summer. I have no idea where to get this either., even if I did I would never buy it. I liked it at first but then the scent drove me nuts and it didn't do much for my hair and I needed a lot of it because the formula is so light and runny.

Schwarzkopf Bonacure hairtherapy Color freeze conditioner.
Do I even need to say that I love this and that I'm already on my second bottle of this? The scent is aaaamaaazing!!
I did a review on this a few weeks ago so go and read that if you're curious.

Schwarzkopf Got2b dry shampoo.
I used to be all about pomegranates and this in perticular used to be in my shower all the time. My local drugstore used to carry this brand but sadly they discontinued it. The line also had a shampoo and conditioner that wasn't so good. Oh and a bodylotion that I still have. I think I have a second bottle of this somewhere lying around that needs some attention before it goes bad. This scent will always remind me of my mum because she hunted them down for me when they were about to get discontinued.

Natuvive Pomegranate Refresh shower gel.
Oh my gosh I can't believe this is finally empty! I've been seriously struggling to get through this! It's a really nice face scrub with mini abrasive pears in it but I won't be repurchasing this just because there's so many others out there that works better on my skin. Didn't really notice a difference with this so it was kinda disappointing.

Cliniderm 2-in-1 peeling and mask.
Can't remember if I ever did a review on this. If I didn't it's because it was kinda so so. It promised to even out skin tone and nourish and all the usual stuff. I enjoyed using it but I didn't notice any difference with my hyper pigmentation or the texture of my skin so I won't be buying this again. The packaging though is really nice.

L'Orela Skinperfection  day moisturizer.
The most basic thing ever is deodorants. I really like this and already have a backup on hand of this. haven't found one that I like better.

Nivea Pearl and Beauty roll-on.
This took me fooorever to get through! I will have to do a stand alone review of this sometime soon. I really like using these and I think this is one of the things that have made my skin so much better. I don't use it every single day just because my skin can't handle that. No matter what face wash I use. I was given a bunch of these so I have plenty of backups. They are by the brand Eqology. Never heard of them but when I read up on them I was surprised to find that the ingredients list contains mostly plants and ecological things. Things you would actually find in the nature. Not man made in a lab. They are a bit pricey though.

Eqology Clean up Face gel.
My holy grail mascara! I will be so very sad the day they stop making this! I love it! My lashes love it and my fiance always compliments me and notices when I wear this. Whenever someone asks me what my holy grail drugstore mascara is I say this!

L'Oreal Miss Manga mascara.

Now, I can happily throw these away so they can get recycled into something new. Who knows, they might contain something new exciting to try.
