My NY Edp

I sniffed DKNY's new fragrance My NY edp today and I am totally head over heels in love!! I've gotta have it! It's a very sophisticated grown up kinda scent. So very none typical me. Even my sis and fiance told me so! But it smells so gooood! And I love the design of the bottle! It's heartshaped with the top being the New Yorks skyline with it's skyskrapers.
Googled picture. It's so gorgeous!

It is described as a modern scent for the Big City woman with a heart of raspberries, rosé pepper, jasmine and freesia. And a warm patchouli, vanilla and musk as a base.

Give this a sniff next time you pass a DKNY counter or a perfume store! I'm so getting myself this for my birthday!

Mini Haul!

I read a fellow countrywomans blog and she had found an awesome website where she had ordered beautybrands that are otherwise hard or impossible to find here. Or even to get shipped here! I was over the moon and beyond with excitement and happiness. The site is!

I immediately found NYC's stuff and eyed up their infamous bronzer sunny. But it was out of stock. Then out of the blue they brought in Maybellines Color Tattoos in a few limited colors I saw glamlifeguru haul ages ago! Haven't been able to find those at all anywhere else. But it still took me a few good weeks to make up my mind, put my foot and decide that I was worth it! So I ended up ordering the color tattoo in Seashore Frosts and the NYC bronzer Sunny.

The packaging of the bronzer feels really plasticy and cheap. But the product itself is really promising.

Annoyingly the name isn't written anywhere on the eyeshadow, so somehow I will have to remember the name of this. Or have this post as a reference in the future.

I've had a few days to play around with them and so far I really really like them! I'll give each of them a proper review when they are fully tested.

Sorry ladies, looks like sunny is out of stock again. But keep your eyes peeled!

Rimmel Scandaleyes

I hauled this a while back together with a lot of other goodies. I've played around with it and I thought I'd share my thoughts on it.

First off it's a waterproof kohl kajal from Rimmels Scandaleyes collection. Everyone and everything have tried this and reviewed it. Most people thoughts on it is that it's a good waterproof eyepencil. That it's intensly black and that you can smudge it out to get a smokey eye.

The packaging is your standard liner/eyepen. I thought this was a none sharpen pen at first but apparently not. I'll have to try and sharpen mine pretty soon.

Looks black and intense alright. I'm sorry my hand looks a bit discolored, I smacked in a tabletop and ended up with a ginormous bruise.
I let it sit for a while before trying to smudge it. You can but you have to rub pretty hard.

Conclusion then? My only problem is that it isn't waterproof! It dissolves and disappears on my waterline! And it irritates my eyes a little bit. I don't wear this every day so it shouldn't harm me in any way. And my eyes reacts the same way to dry air too so. Other than that it's great! And it doesn't break the bank!

It costs somewhere around 50 SEK (£4.36 $7.25 and 5.45 Euro) give or take.

Have you tried this? What were your thoughts?

Rimmel Apocalips

I think I finally decided what I think about this since I don't reach for it knowingly. Either I got a bad one, an unflattering color or I simply don't get the hype around them. Not everything is for everyone.

 The packaging is stunning!
 A doefoot kind of applicator.
An orangey coral color.  500 Luna.

The packaging is so nice! I don't think I've ever seen a lipgloss so nicely designed. The applicator is nice, picks up a lot of color and distributes it nicely. It smells awful! Like a fermented peach! The color is very very potently coral on the orange side of things. You can get it subtle if you thin it out. I don't think the color is for me. The formula isn't sticky at all but to me on my lips it feels drying and not so nice as I had hoped. Picking colors from photos aren't the easiest thing to do. Who knows, I might get braver or more daring in oh, the next six months or so.

I enjoy reading other blogs. Maybe a little too much. I love to just let go of myself, my own life and venture into somebody elses world and day. It's like reading a book. I love that too but can't decide wether I should re-read the Wizard of Oz books, this time in English, or Dan Browns latest. I literally swallowed his other books. But back to topic or, no, lets combine the two. Do you guys have any blog or book recommendations for me? I recently devoured the Divergent triology.

Nail it Friday: Depend 313

I've been on a purple kick lately and if there's a color I have in almost every thinkable shade it's purple! What can I say? I really like purple!
So to kick it off I decided on this dark shade with blue and green microglitters in it from Depend. Now, the boring thing with Depend is that they have boring number names instead of actual names. Depend, go get some imagination! The brand is well known and loved throughout the planet. This perticular color is called 313. They last about 4 to 5 days with or without a topcoat.
Looks like stardust got trapped in it.
Two coats for full opacity and a darker finish. This isn't a typical summershade but it isn't a true fall color either. Not that I care to much about summer/Spring or Fall/Winter colors. I wear what I want when I want to.

July Favorites

I tried to get really creative this month with my faves. So that you guys wouldn't have to read almost the same post this time as my last faves.

This must be this months absolute winner! I am obsessed! I got this on TalkBeckyTalks recommendation. And girl, she was right! It really works!! I am the type of person who has really thin hair and loses all volume I might get in under ten minutes. But not with this. Now my hair is bigger and fluffier. There is a slight drawback though, it feels like it builds up in the roots a little. I might have to make my own purifying shampoo, because we don't have it here!!

An old favorite of mine! Do we recognize it? I did a review on this way back when I first started this blog. I must say it works like a dream with a primer underneath. It is a must for it. And the color is just right for me this time of year.

I finally made up my mind about this hyped concealer and I like it. Doh, it's in my faves! I'm sorry I'm being so silly today, it's that kinda day. It stays on all day, even on me. It doesn't dry out or crease or exaggerate any dry patches I might have. This particular shade (15) works better right now as a highlighter than a concealer.
This is the only repetitive part I promise. LOOOOVE IT!

Yes people,  am slightly obsessed with this trio! Who knew?! These actually stay put all day with zero creasing with a primer underneath! I think I made it through half a day with no creasing without a primer. To me that is mindboggling!! Go get it! WetnWilds Walking on eggshells!

I really hope I can get back to posting more regularly but work takes up all my time right now. And frankly, I'm having way too much fun at work to be too sad about it. My work allows me to pay for my beauty obsession. Am I right?
