L'Oreal False Lash Wings Intenza

I was very sad to see my Miss Mango go. I almost immediately replaced it with the all new sparkling False Lash Wings Intenza mascara from L'Oreal. I'm sure you've all heard about this already. Or it's predecessor.

It comes in a silver-chromed packaging with a red top. the bottle design is the same as on the Miss Manga mascara. The brush is a silicone number that I do not care for at all! I just don't like silicone brushes! But that is my personal opinion. They tend to clump up the product and irritate my eyes. The formula is very dry and waxy. You have to be quick about getting one coat on and get it right almost straight away because you can't faff around with it. The formula is so dry that it won't allow it! I've never had a mascara with this dry formula before! Annoying to the max! But on the plus side it is intensely black!
It claims it have fibers in it but honestly, I haven't noticed. But I have noticed that it's near on impossible to get even on both eyes! One eye gets really well and the other gets totally messed up!

In total this was a total fail for me! Might actually throw it away. Mascaras are a thing that you shouldn't pass on to others due to bacteria. Or I would give it to my sister so she could give a second opinion on it! Sorry love!

Volume Million Lashes Top Coat

This is a brand sparkling new product from L'Oreal and so far I haven't heard anyone in the blogosphere talk about this yet. So I might be the first!

The Volume Million Lashes range have been around for ages. I've had some L'Oreal mascaras over the years but none of the from the Million Lashes family. This is not your typical mascara either. This is a glittery topcoat! Very festive and seasonably appropriate. Especially for the New Year and all your Christmas parties!

I've had it for a few days now and I've worn it every single day! Except for one. Which I will get to in a bit.
It comes in L'Oreals standard packaging but with a gorgeous purple top with silver sparkles. The product itself is a clear formula dosed with sparkly bits that glistens in every color under the sun. The wand is a silicony awkward piece. Do not care for that at all. It does the job alright but I wish it would be more of a comb than just a thing they threw in there. I use my ordinary mascara as usual but I wait for it to dry properly before I put the glittery top coat on. It's a very subtle glitter and every day appropriate. It just gives your lashes a little bit of glam. Nothings that's in your face. Pun intended. It looks really nice and wears throughout the whole day and doesn't smudge, smear or go all over your face. Fantastic? Yes it truly is, except for one minor annoying detail. You may have created the perfect flared out lashes but this will somehow throughout the day clump them together and make them look more like spiderlegs than butterflylashes. This might just be a silly occurrence with my current mascara. I will try to pair it with my old Miss Manga mascara tomorrow and see if it yields a different result. Worth mentioning is that my current mascara is also from L'Oreal. It will be in my next post. So keep an eye out for that. The day without this was to see if it was my mascara acting up or if it truly was the top coat.

I haven't had any allergic reactions to it. Some does get that from having glittery products near their eyes. I didn't test it out before I got it, but if you can, I would recommend you to do it. No point in spending money on a thing you can't use. No matter how tempting it looks.

Have you tried this? Is it launched yet where you live?

November Favorites

This month has been filled with beauty goodies. I'm sure I've forgotten to put something in.

Do we recognize some of them? thihi.
My Donna Karan "My NY" edp., which is amazing! If you haven't smelled it already, do! Walking on eggshells from Wetnwild, Love in Rio from NYX and my new day cream Skin perfection from L'Oreal.
My headset from AKG, love the color! And the Sunny bronzer from NYC.
Left in the background we have an oldie but a goodie, Pink Gold from Maybelline and a new obsession of mine- my new face wash from Ole Henriksen. It's the African red tea foaming cleanser. This on it's own could be my entire November favorite! And hiding in the far back of everything, my expert face brush from Real Techniques.

What have you guys been loving this grey and cold month?

What I got for my birthday 2014

So someone over here happened to have a birthday and just happened to get some lovely gifts from her family and loved ones. I am by no means bragging or showing off. I just simply want to share with you guys what I got and show my family some appreciation.
A cook-book about chocolate, a NYX Trio, a bracelet and a pair of earrings.
A cookiestand with a glasslid filled with the tiniest little chocolate muffins.
An owl cookie stencil. I think that's what they are called. Anyway you fill it up with cookie dough and it comes out owl shaped. Mega cute!
And from a special nerdy someone I got a new motherboard, RAM and a new CPU.
Way to nice of a gift but I really needed some new components for my gaming rig! Not beautyrelated either but my blog my rules!

Thank you so much for the lovely gifts! I loved every one of them!

Heat failure

I think everyone now and again does things they normally wouldn't. Things they know won't really work or shouldn't be done. But we simply have to try. Take me for example. I very well know that not all plastics like heat. But did I think twice before I tried straight brushing my hair with a blow drier set to maximum heat? No. Did the hairbrush like it? Not even the slightest. Lucky enough it's just one of those knock-offs of the Tangle Teezer because I don't see the point of spending way too much money on a hairbrush. No matter how wonderful it is.

This cost me a fraction of the original and I didn't get too upset when I ruined it. Just very annoyed with myself. I replaced it within the hour and now I enjoy a new fresh life changing hairbrush!
I suffer from very flexible hair. When I brush out a very stubborn knot, with an ordinary hairbrush, my hair will automatically self-retract into a new knot. Almost like the self-retracting dog leashes. But not with this, It's a dream to use. I was very skeptical how that would work it's way through my long hair but it works amazingly well. Dry or wet.

No hair was harmed during the incident. The brush melted and the blow drier got a bit overheated and refused to start again for a while.

All in all, great brush for the hair, not that great for heat.

Nivea Sensitive Night Cream

I've tried this now for a couple of weeks and thought it time to share my experience with you all. I must confess I haven't used it every night. And there is a reason for that. I don't really like it that much. But I have used it enough to see the results or more the lack thereof.

It says on the box that it moisturizes and reduces redness, tightness and dryness. I haven't noticed any of the three at all.
And can someone please explain to me why products gets so heavy on the greasy side when they are meant for sensitive and dry skin? I don't want the grease, I just want moisture put back into my skin!
This has a lovely consistency but it just feels to heavy on my skin and takes absolutely forever to sink in! And it doesn't feel like it's doing anything. Either this is for dried out toads or I just don't get it. And I can't stand the scent. It has that typical none-fragranced scent. I'm very disappointed in this one. Normally I sing Niveas praise in every thinkable tune. But this one is a pass for me.

October Favorites

End of October already? How did that happen??
Here's what I've been liking and using throughout the month of October. Enjoy!

My new snazzy makeup bag! It's by Gillian Jones, whoever that is. All I know is it was half price and it says Denmark under the name.
Speaking of half price, found this gem last time I went into a Kicks store. Refreshing and cooling with a metal rollerball.
This needs no explanation. I've raved enough about this already.
A re-discovery for me. But now I find it too heavy and thick so I mix in some of the Express Hydration Primer and it works like a dream. I get a very even and natural finish.
And the hero of them all is this Expert Face Brush from Real Techniques! Every girl should have this in her makeup-brush-arsenal!

What have you guys been liking this month?

Fall Nail Trends

I'm looking for new nailpolishes to rock this fall. Usually, I don't care much whats in season. I know of the trends but decide to rock whatever color I want. No matter the season or trend. I think this fall is gonna be very much the same as last. Dark oxblood colors and dark navy colors. And new for this year seems to be jewel-tones. I see them everywhere and I can't say I'm thrilled about it. I don't like the oxblood trend either, but I do like a good deep winepurple colored nail. I have shades that reminds me of that but isn't as deep. I think me and my little eye will have a looksee around and see what we find. As for navy colors, that is one colorfamily that I do not own. I have one kinda in between blue and one pastelly metallic blue. Blue isn't usually a color I opt for on my nails. I'm afraid I'll look dead or like I actually dropped something on my nails. Which is very possible! Something I'm searching for as well is a good lightpink/my-nails-but-better color. A soft everyday polish that will bring some sheen and just the tiniest bit of color. Nothing that will be a disaster if I mess it up at work.

Which colors are you gonna rock this season?

Things I don't wish for, but wouldn't mind getting.

My birthday is soon coming up and I've been twisting the idea of making an entry about it. Not to make it a wish list but more on the side that if any of my family members would find themselves unsure what to get me, this could be of some help. If I straight up wish for something then I know I will never get it from the love of my life. He is weird that way, but I love him. I've tried reversed psychology too and that doesn't work either.

I've been eyeing this for years! But I haven't made the commitment yet to buy it. My current mascara is on it's way to turn bad on me so I will have to replace it soon anyway.

I've emptied my mini travel sized mango bodyscrub from The Body Shop and I loved it. I want to try the raspberry and blueberry one too. They booth smell amazing and like you've just picked the berry itself in the sunlight!

I still want to try this! I remember jumping of joy when I finally saw that this had made it's way over here. This is the only one of her scents that I really like. I'm unsure of the red version of this, enchanted wonderstruck, and I know I definitely do not like her latest scent.

Everyone in every corner of our beautiful planet is raving about this! The Anastasia Brow Wiz. We do have it where I live which is amazing! I'm just gonna have to justify the splurge somehow. I do need a new browpencil since my current one has been around for about two or three years. It's almost finished wohooo.

I am this close to ordering this right now!!

How gorgeous are these? Cold and sparkly, just my taste!

Other things I want that need no photos are a wide-angled camera lens for my Nikon DSLR. People often opt for a zoom lens first but I've found that I more often than not would need a wide-angled lens rather than I would a zoom. The one I have that came with it is pretty ok at both. But I love taking scenery photos and sometimes I have to choose what should be in the shot in order to make a good picture without having to zoom out too much and loose focus. I would imagine come next summer and if the carlife around here steps up their game I will need a better zooming lens.

And a camera tripod would be perfect to have too. It's not that often that I feel the need of one, but with one I won't have to worry about shutterspeed and my shakiness colliding. My camera is amazing at compensating for that on it's own for me.

Speaking of camera accessories I've been meaning to get me some colored filters to play around with.

Nail it Friday. G.O.S.H

One of the things my parents brought back was this nailpolish from G.O.S.H. It drew me in instantly and it is so gorgeous to look at. If I were a nailpolish, this would be me!
First layer is very shear but it builds for every layer. So you can get it the shade you want.
541 Gasoline.

It's a darker plummier kind of purple with blue and silver microglitters in it. It's simply just stunning. I wore it last week and without a topcoat it lasts me for about five days which is very long. Five days without looking horrendous.

I have no idea how much this were since it was a gift. But if you see it, snatch it and give it a whirl!

Walking on Eggshells

This has been my absolute number one go to eyeshadow palette. I say palette because it has more than two shadows in it. But it is in truth just a trio. They are all shimmery gorgeous shades. For the price I am stoked! I thought they were gonna be chalky and badly pigmented with a lot of fallout and zero lastingpower. They are none of that. They are amazing!

In the last picture I just dampened my fingers and swatched them. They got all metallicy instead of satiny. It's called wetnwild so I had to try the wet part.

The staying power of these are incredible! I usually pair the pinky color with my Maybelline color tattoo in Pink Gold and that combo is stunning! It lasts all day. But even on their own with a primer underneath they last me all day without creasing or having to reblend anything. If I had to say anything bad about it, it would be that I wished there were at least one matte shade in there as a fourth option and that the bronze color were slightly warmer in tone and a bit more umph to it. Wearing all three is doable but it gets a bit too sparkly. Yes, there is such a thing. Over all it's a very nice trio with very wearable colors that works really well. they blend nicely and they are buildable.
At the end of the night you'll have to use some sort of cleanser to get it all of. Just water wont do the trick.

If you want some simplicity in your life, I highly recommend this one!

Because I'm worth it.

I strongly remember that being one of L'Oreals old slogans. No that was "Because you're worth it". Duh. A tiny, but nonetheless, a difference. I've debated a long time whether or not to get the Real Techniques Expert Face brush. I could always get it in a sale somewhere, or I might order a lot from one place where they had it or I could wish for it as a birthday gift. But when it came down to it no-one had a great sale going on on this or they didn't carry it. So I caved and ordered it. Along side it, I happened to order two other goodies. At first glance at them and trying them out on my hand I'm not that impressed. I might keep one and give the other one away. We'll see.

My dog offered to haul the loveliness for me but got bored with having the camera up his face. Here he's saying "Mommy, are you done yet?! I want to have a snuggle instead."

Gifts from Austria

My parents just came back from a trip to Austria. I'm so envious! I wish I could've gone too and tried the wines and strolled through history. But I don't want the busride down there. If I were tog o I would either fly or drive myself. They were so sweet and brought me and my sisters some goodies from their trip.

I am one happy and lucky duck! (Girl)!! I didn't even know that they would do a smaller size of the DKNY perfume! I'm so happy and grateful for everything but the perfume especially. They brought back a hoodie as well that will be perfect for snuggling in.

I'm gonna put the perfume on my desk as decoration and inspiration while I drink my tea and nibble away on the chocolates! Thank you mum and dad!
